SHARK MOUNTAIN

Shark Mountain, was named after the property’s steep rise from the roadway to a pointed summit- resembling a shark’s dorsal fin.  David has battled with chronic pain and discomfort for most of his adult life.  So much so, that for a brief period, he was unable to work consistently with his desired medium and even took to painting during this time.  Upon returning to sculpture in the early 2000s his first projects were installed here.

Davingy has installed numerous large scale, site specific works throughout the property.  Though a few pieces can be viewed across the street from the Russian River Pub, a tour is required to experience the full magnitude of Shark Mountain’s art. During this period, many of the pieces on display were installed by David himself and carry their own harrowing near-death stories!

Shark Mountain continues to be a work in progress while developing other locations.
